My Music The best description of what I present in music, is this anomaly that seems to erode boundaries and build bridges between “Old and New”. The words are original and fresh, and the melodies are somehow nostalgic with nuances of Classical, Blues, Country, Jazz, Soul, Southern Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Ballad, Folk, Easy Listening, Praise and Worship, even some original “Hymns” that are somehow “Ancient” ……leaving the worshiper to feel as though these bits and pieces of the musical universe are newly born and yet have existed since time immemorial! There is something here for EVERYONE! All ages, social positions and cultural backgrounds! Music is, after all, the language of the soul, and my GOAL is to catch the ear, for “If the ears listen…… THE HEART WILL HEAR”! |
My Inspiration “Music” is a major catalyst for the human to worship the Creator. When Paul and Silas began to sing in the inner prison, THAT’S WHEN THINGS STARTED SHAKIN! The very heart of God is moved by our worship! Other “facets” of me are: Multi-Media Artist, Author, Poet, Playwright/Director, studio engineer and musician/vocalist (accompanying other artists as well as doing my own thing), Concert pianist, Choir director, Fitness instructor, Interpreter for the hearing impaired, Israel tour coordinator/director, my husband is a Master Boot Maker, my two sons are both published authors, my only daughter died while in missions overseas and is the lasting joy of my heart and the inspiration for MUCH of my life. |
My Community - Bonners Ferry, Idaho My husband, Thad, is a Master Boot Maker and has a wide ranging reputation in many countries of the world, as well as his loyal, local clientele. I have lived here on and off since I was three years old. …..pretty much grew up here and raised our children here. We had our “base” here while traveling on the road, and have held residence since 1991. We have done a lot of community volunteer work, such as Search and Rescue, Talent shows and benefit programs, our family has put on an annual Country Gospel Christmas Concert every year for the past 36 years, as well as other special events, I sing for many weddings and funerals, perform for Hospital and nursing care facilities regularly, I am a fitness instructor, and have worked in several of the public schools interpreting for the hearing impaired… just about everyone in the community knows us. |
My Other Worship Expressions One of my favorite things to do with music is to teach and perform “Interpretive Worship”, which is a blend of basic sign language and “living out” a song as it is unfolding. Once a Praise and Worship Team learns the general moves the venue lends itself beautifully to entire congregations. The experience creates its own energy as the worshiper suddenly finds him/herself bodily expressing their deepest love and devotion, their exuberant praise or their most humble worship. I believe that THIS is an area that is fairly wide open at present. Since I have been an interpreter for the hearing impaired for over 20 years, I just naturally incorporate this into most of my “live” performances. My goal is to woo the wandering soul of humanity into the presence of He Whom to know is LIFE! |
